Lions and Tigers and Bears! The statistics on seniors’ health issues are frightening!
In the US, it’s estimated that every second of every day an older adult falls, leading to disability and even death.
BUT the numbers aren’t the whole story. In fact, there’s good news to share, new strategies that will help us stay upright and healthier as we age.
FOR MORE INFORMATION on the programs Carol talks about, listen to this panel discussion from the 2018 Healthy Aging Summit: Emerging Interventions in Healthy Aging.

“Great to see you back on the net…..looking forward to more interesting/educational subjects….thanks for what you’re doing for many more than you realize! Please remember to include our military veterans and their families….they need and deserve our support.”

Hi Carol,
I’m glad RR is back and enjoyed the recording of the panel discussion. Is there more info on the programs and leaders that you can share? I’m no longer a Wisconsinite but do practice Tai Chi and received certification in Level 1 & 2 of Tricia Yu’s Fundamentals back some time ago. I also completed another evidence-based course in fall prevention adapted from Tai Chi by a researcher in Oregon (the state, not the city in Wisconsin 😊) and am being encouraged to offer a class in this program at a local senior center where I lead a “regular” tai chi class. So, I’m kind of looking for people to connect with, even at a distance, to compare the programs, etc. Though Tai Chi is at the forefront, I’m also curious about the PALS and MOM programs.
Best of luck with the relaunch!
Sue
