Got Confidence? Maybe not. Any big life transition can undermine a person’s confidence in themselves and in their path in life.
Dolores Kokinos of The Empowerment Cafe has studied confidence, and divided that essential trait into five building blocks: Belonging, Acceptance, Respect, Purpose and Security.
In this KTT, Dolores talks with Mary Helen and Carol about how retirees on a new unscripted path of life can regain their footing and move forward with confidence.

MH & CL
Thank you for such an inspirational and motivating chat with DK this morning.
I am grateful for all the practical suggestions to deal with my own self confidence issues after a major move from the Chicago area last year.
(How impoverished the world would be if its original thinkers – its artists, writers, scientists and philosophers – took adverse criticism as a sign of their inferiority and turned to some other line of work.)
from For Today – OA Literature
When my confidence is down around my ankles, thanks to my conflict over food as a double edged security blanket, my self worth tends to go up and down with the tides of other people’s opinions. I am working on getting my needs met without overeating.
I have listened to many interviews but you two are marvelous together for asking the “right” questions of Dolores. Sharing your own struggles help your audience including myself walk away feeling empowered with tools to continue on this journey of self discovery and purpose.
MH’s wrap ups and Carol’s personal journeys are a marvelous interview technique that gets the audience riled up and rebellious to do something fun and enjoy the process about this phase of development we are now in.
GO REBELS!
