Hi Carol,
Love your stuff and glad to see you are up and running again!
Warm regards,
Andrea
Hi Carol,
Yes, I agree with you on ageism. Here are two links which we discussed at another group. A couple of us have become vigilant and questioning people who call us “young lady” and “honey”. When I went to vote, the guy said, step right here young lady, and was quite surprised when I called him on it and explained that it was condescending. I still got to vote!

Thanks Carol!
I am going into my 4th year of retirement, and my biggest concern right now is getting enough time to myself, or in other words, spending too much time with my husband! Now, I don’t want to treat a gift like a burden, but this is a stage of life we never had before…. I think my husband’s vision of retirement was I was going to be his constant playmate and we would always be on vacation! (A little exaggerated, but you get my drift?)
Another topic area I am concerned about is mental health. So many of my friends parents needed anti-anxiety meds as they got older, as did my own parents. I’ve had one high school/college acquaintenance commit suicide after one year of retirement. I find myself worrying about my own quality of life when I get older, considering dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, etc, that friend’s parents are experiencing. Could this be an area to revisit?
